Pakistan Values Peace, Responded Responsibly to Indian Aggression: DG ISPR

Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to peace, emphasizing that the nation does not favor violence and responded to recent Indian military actions with responsibility and restraint.

The latest escalation in tensions began after India conducted airstrikes in Punjab and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on May 6th and 7th, resulting in the deaths of over 30 civilians. Pakistan responded by downing five Indian fighter jets and intercepting several drones.

Following subsequent Indian strikes on Pakistani military targets on May 9th, Islamabad initiated “Operation Bunyan-e-Marsoos,” which targeted Indian military installations while deliberately avoiding civilian infrastructure.
