Pakistan is preparing to launch its first-ever National IT Industry Census, a major step aimed at collecting comprehensive and accurate data on the country’s information technology sector.

The nationwide initiative will document details of IT and IT-enabled services companies, including workforce size, areas of expertise, geographic presence, and operational scale. The collected data will help policymakers better understand the structure and potential of Pakistan’s growing digital economy.
