Pakistan’s passport continues to rank as one of the weakest globally, according to the latest Henley Passport Index (HPI). Ranked among the bottom nations, the Pakistani passport places fourth from last, alongside countries like Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan, leaving its holders with limited access to international travel.
The Henley Passport Index ranks passports based on the number of destinations accessible without a visa. Pakistan, with only 33 visa-free destinations, faces significant challenges for its citizens wishing to travel abroad. In stark contrast, Singapore holds the top spot, offering its citizens visa-free access to the most destinations globally.

Even nations like Chad, Somalia, and Palestine have ranked just above Pakistan in the latest report, highlighting the struggles of Pakistanis when it comes to international mobility. Additionally, Pakistan faces some of the highest rejection rates for Schengen visas, adding to the frustration of citizens seeking to visit Europe.
As travel restrictions continue to impact global movement, the low ranking of Pakistan’s passport remains a significant barrier for its citizens, especially those who wish to explore the world without the hassle of frequent visa applications and rejections.
