The federal government has announced the new prices for petroleum products, which will take effect from February 1. According to a notification from the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs. 1, bringing it to Rs. 257.13 per liter. Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel has seen a hike of Rs. 7 per liter, reaching Rs. 267.95.

This marks the third consecutive fortnightly increase in petrol prices. In the last review, petrol prices were raised by Rs. 3.47, reaching Rs. 256.13 per liter, while high-speed diesel was increased by Rs. 2.61, bringing its price to Rs. 260.95.
