Both leaders expressed satisfaction with the steady expansion of their bilateral cooperation in various areas of mutual interest and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen their fraternal ties.
Prime Minister Sharif congratulated his Tajik counterpart on the successful organization of the 3rd High-Level Water Conference and lauded Tajikistan’s leadership in water diplomacy. He highlighted the signing of the Strategic Partnership Agreement as a historic milestone in Pakistan-Tajikistan relations and expressed optimism that this development would pave the way for new areas of mutually beneficial economic cooperation.

He also reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to enhanced engagement with Central Asian countries, including Tajikistan, under its “Vision Central Asia” policy. Prime Minister Sharif emphasized that improved regional connectivity and integration are crucial for the sustainable long-term socio-economic development of the region.
Additionally, Prime Minister Sharif underscored the importance of regional ties within South Asia and Central Asia. He proposed that Pakistan host a regional connectivity summit to facilitate trade corridors for Central Asian countries and boost regional trade. He also welcomed the recent commencement of international flights between Pakistan and Tajikistan and stressed the need to increase the frequency of these flights.
Prime Minister Sharif’s visit to Tajikistan is part of a two-day official trip at the invitation of the President of Tajikistan.
