The visit will highlight the ongoing human rights abuses in Kashmir and India’s unfulfilled promises. PM Sharif, along with Kashmiri leaders, will travel to Muzaffarabad to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people and denounce India’s unilateral actions from August 5, 2019.

Special events will be held across Pakistan, including in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, to mark the day and protest against the Modi-led government’s actions.
