The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has blocked 16 Indian YouTube news channels, 31 video links, and 32 websites for allegedly spreading false information and anti-Pakistan narratives.

In a press release issued Wednesday, the PTA stated that the banned content was promoting misleading and harmful narratives intended to manipulate public perception and threaten national unity. The move comes amid rising regional tensions, with the authority reaffirming its commitment to securing Pakistan’s digital environment.

“This action has been taken in view of the current regional situation to safeguard national security,” the PTA said, adding that it will continue to monitor online platforms and take strict action against any content that undermines Pakistan’s interests.

Though the names of the blocked channels and sites were not disclosed, the PTA confirmed they were involved in disseminating anti-Pakistan material. Citizens have been urged to report any suspicious or harmful online content.
