The Punjab Education Department is set to resume the e-transfer process for teachers immediately after Eid.

This phase will prioritize the adjustment of over 1,200 teachers who have recently been promoted or are awaiting new placements. In Lahore district alone, more than 50 teachers are awaiting placement, which will be addressed in the initial post-Eid phase.

Following these adjustments, a new e-transfer round based on open merit will begin in July. This round will allow all eligible teachers to apply for transfers under the merit-based system.

Additionally, the Cabinet Committee is expected to review and approve a rationalization plan aimed at ensuring the balanced distribution of teaching staff across schools throughout the province.
