The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has scheduled a strategic meeting on May 2, 2025, at the Prime Minister’s Office to receive an in-depth briefing on the Pak-Emigrant Management Framework (PEMF) and the PakTok mobile application. The objective is to enhance digital integration and streamline services for overseas Pakistanis.

The meeting will cover progress on Phase II of the PEMF and improvements to the PakTok app. Technical teams from the National Information Technology Board (NITB), Bureau of Emigration & Overseas Employment (BE&OE), and NADRA will present API-related technical documentation. Developed under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (MOPHRD), the PakTok app acts as a centralized digital platform to connect Pakistani expatriates with essential government services. Key features include OPF membership registration, welfare benefits like recovery of dues from foreign employers, free repatriation of deceased bodies, and financial assistance including scholarships at OPF institutions.

One of the app’s standout features is a 24/7 complaint management system, which allows users and their families to log grievances and get timely resolutions. The app also keeps the diaspora informed with real-time updates on OPF policies, events, and new initiatives—promoting transparency and easier access to government resources.
