Three independent members of the National Assembly, who emerged victorious in the recent general elections, have declared their allegiance to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), bolstering the party’s representation in the assembly just two days after the polls.
Barrister Aqeel, Raja Khurram Nawaz, and Mian Khan Bugti, successful independent candidates from different constituencies, have formally announced their decision to join the PML-N, adding to the party’s increasing influence. In a recorded message, Barrister Aqeel expressed gratitude to the voters of NA-54, Taxila Wah, for their unwavering support, attributing his victory to their dedication and hard work.
He emphasized that the seat rightfully belongs to Nawaz Sharif, both historically and in the present and future. Aqeel credited his success to the leadership of the PML-N, including Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, and Maryam Nawaz, reaffirming his commitment to the party. Similarly, Raja Khurram Nawaz, the newly elected member of the National Assembly from NA-48, Islamabad, extended his thanks to the constituents and supporters across his constituency. He highlighted his decision to align with the PML-N, underlining his dedication to serving the area and contributing to its progress as part of the new government.

Meanwhile, Mian Khan Bugti, the victorious independent candidate from NA-253 in Sibi Division, Balochistan, has officially joined the ranks of the PML-N. In his video message, Bugti acknowledged the congratulatory messages from Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, revealing that he had sought to contest the elections on a PML-N ticket.
These developments underscore the PML-N’s ongoing endeavors to broaden its political footprint and strengthen its position within the National Assembly.
