YouTube has launched its own yearly recap experience, similar to popular features offered by Spotify and other streaming platforms. The new “YouTube Recap” is now available to users in North America, with a global rollout planned by the end of the week.
The recap will automatically appear on the YouTube homepage or inside the You tab once it becomes accessible. According to the company, the feature summarizes what users watched in 2025, showcasing their top interests, deep dives, and memorable moments based on viewing habits.

For users who consumed a significant amount of music on YouTube, the recap will highlight their most-played artists and songs of the year. It will also include insights into top genres, podcasts, and global music trends. Additionally, users will be able to explore more detailed listening stats within the YouTube Music app.
