Korean manufacturer Samsung has now finally gone on to launch the much awaited Samsung Galaxy S22 series, which makes its way with the aid of the company’s very own One UI 4.1 out of the box system, which of course is based on the latest Android 12 operating system – as there is now focus on user experience.
In line with that then, the brand has indeed introduced a new feature so as to enhance the user experience on these latest smartphones, as the brand has gone on to allow users to configure the amount of virtual memory on their devices.
The brand has indeed proceeded on to introduce a feature which goes by the name of RAM plus for the Galaxy lineup of devices which ends up enabling users and gives them the option to enhance the amount of RAM in their phone for the sake of improving performance. What the feature basically does is that it ends up allocating some of the phone’s storage as virtual RAM. This is in fact much similar to Windows allocating a portion of disk storage so as to use virtual RAM if a scenario persists where physical RAM happens to be insufficient.
Of course then, the feature isn’t exactly all that new. However, before this, Galaxy phones were only allowed to use four gigs of RAM, however, with the aid of One UI 4.1, the brand is now allowing the users to choose up to eight gigs of RAM in the case where memory is much required. At this point then, it’s important to note the fact that four gigs of RAM is selected as the default when it comes to virtual RAM, however, users can indeed change this.
