As compared then to 2020’s $382 billion, this was of course a major increase and smartphone revenue ended up growing more than seven percent YoY and now smartphone manufacturers are in the process of generating more revenue than ever.

This particular report also goes on to claim that more than 85% of the aforementioned revenue has been generated by the top five well known brands in Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo and also Vivo.

Apple, all in all, led the global smartphone market revenues in 2021 with an annual revenue of $196 billion. It ended up capturing 44% of total global smartphone revenue last year. This of course was caused by the high demand of the 5G-enabled iPhone 12 and also the iPhone 13 series that came with a more fancier design and also better cameras as compared then to the previous generation.
