In a new statement, Realme has confirmed that its forthcoming GT Neo 5 smartphone will be launched on February 9 in China. There is a possibility that the device will be launched globally during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) conference held at the end of February 2023, which will be the world’s biggest tech trade show.
This is the first time that the company has confirmed many details regarding the device in advance of its launch, such as its chipset details, fast charging capabilities, and design. In a new teaser, Realme has revealed the Purple Edition of the upcoming Realme GT Neo 5 that will be released in the near future.
As revealed in the teaser, the device will be made of AG glass with a matte texture on the back, and it will also have the signature double stripes that we are used to seeing on the GT devices from Realme. As far as the color scheme itself goes, it is quite pretty and it is perfectly complemented by the black color camera module on the smartphone.

On the topic of cameras, the teaser informs us that on the Realme GT Neo 5 the cameras have a “Transparent double film zero noise technology” which basically means that the coating on the camera will not leave any residue behind and will not result in any noise particles when the images are taken from the device.
In terms of specs, this phone offers a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 underclocked CPU, with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage, along with a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 underclocked processor. The device will also be equipped with a 6.74-inch OLED display with a punch-hole cutout, a 1.5K resolution, and a refresh rate of 144Hz.
There might be a 16-megapixel front-facing camera on the Realme GT Neo 5 for taking selfies. Among the camera features on the back of the device are a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 main sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, along with a 2-megapixel macro sensor. Aside from that, there are also rumors that an IR blaster and RGB lights will be included with the device.
