Elon Musk, the CEO of the social media platform X, responded on Tuesday to reports of the outage affecting Meta platforms, which left tens of thousands of users worldwide unable to access their accounts. “If you’re reading this post, it’s because our servers are up and running,” Musk stated in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. The platform was inundated with memes following the outage of WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and several other platforms.

Musk also shared a post from Andy Stone, a spokesperson for Meta, saying, “We’re aware that people are having trouble accessing our services. We are actively working on resolving this.” However, Musk faced ridicule from X users after retweeting Stone’s post. Numerous X posts mocked Musk’s response to the outage.
