Lenovo’s gaming-focused tablet, the Legion Y700 (2023), which made its debut in China last year, is now poised to make its mark on global markets as the tech giant expands its distribution. With a primary focus on EMEA and Asia, and selected additional markets joining the roster, Lenovo aims to extend the reach of the Legion Y700 (2023) to a broader audience. The global variant retains identical specifications to its Chinese counterpart.
The tablet features an impressive 8.8-inch IPS LCD panel with a refresh rate of 144Hz and a resolution of 1600 x 2560px. While it supports Dolby Vision and HDR10, it’s important to note that HDR content may not exhibit the same quality as on OLED displays. Driving the device is the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, available in configurations of either 12 GB/256 GB or 16 GB/512 GB of memory, with the option for storage expansion via a microSD card slot.

On the camera front, the Legion Y700 boasts a 13MP primary camera accompanied by a 2MP macro lens at the rear, while an 8MP front-facing camera caters to selfie enthusiasts. Keeping the device running is a robust 6,550 mAh battery, supporting 45W wired charging for rapid replenishment.
To ensure optimal performance during extended gaming sessions, the tablet is equipped with the Legion ColdFront passive cooling solution, featuring a dedicated vapor chamber. Moreover, it offers various performance modes tailored to different usage scenarios. Like some gaming phones, the Legion Y700 features two USB-C ports; however, these are not intended for faster charging or pass-through charging. One port facilitates standard charging, while the other enables connection to an external display using the DisplayPort 1.4 standard.
Scheduled for release in EMEA countries this month, the tablet will be available at a starting price of €599.
