Despite Samsung’s assertion that there would be no affordable versions of its folding phones, rumors persist about the company working on a budget-friendly foldable device. Repeatedly, reports have surfaced regarding a potential Galaxy Fold 6 FE, speculated to be a more economical iteration of the flagship Galaxy Fold, akin to Samsung’s other FE models. A recent report sheds light on the features the Galaxy Fold 6 FE might sacrifice to maintain a lower price point.
One notable omission could be S Pen support, a feature typically available on the regular Galaxy Fold. This aligns with Samsung’s strategy of reserving S Pen functionality for its more premium Ultra models, rather than its cheaper Galaxy S phones.

Further rumors suggest that Samsung might introduce an Ultra phone within its Galaxy Z Fold lineup, positioning it as a higher-end device, as implied by its name.
Regarding the launch of the FE model, specifics remain uncertain. While the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 are anticipated to debut in July, Samsung typically releases its FE phones at a later date. With the potential inclusion of another product at the next Galaxy Unpacked event, including two other foldables, a smart ring, and a smartwatch, it seems likely that the Galaxy Fold 6 FE might be unveiled afterward. Both its launch date and price tag remain unclear at this stage, making it premature to provide an accurate estimate.
