Just a day earlier, Nepra announced an increase in electricity tariffs due to fuel cost adjustments. The regulatory authority has raised the electricity cost by Rs2.83 per unit, effective for bills issued in May 2024.
This decision will result in an additional burden of Rs26 billion on consumers. However, it will not apply to K-Electric customers or lifeline consumers.
