An incident occurred where Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) reportedly failed to transport the deceased body of a child on a flight from Islamabad to Skardu.

The six-year-old son of Mohammad Askari from Kharmang district passed away while receiving treatment in Rawalpindi. Family members, who had arrived in Skardu via PIA, protested at the airport when the body did not arrive as expected. Mr. Askari expressed disappointment, mentioning that he had arranged for PIA cargo to transport the body to Skardu. However, upon their arrival, they discovered that the body was missing.

Passengers also joined the family members in protesting against the negligence of the national carrier. The PIA administration assured that the body would be transported to Skardu on the first flight scheduled for Saturday morning.
