Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has taken a significant stride towards women’s empowerment in Punjab with a pioneering initiative. This initiative involves the establishment of driving schools across the province, aimed at equipping women with essential driving skills. Four driving schools have been inaugurated to provide comprehensive training in both motorcycle and car driving.

These newly established driving schools include Abshar Driving School on Jail Road, Women on Wheels School on Ferozepur Road, Liberty Service Center Driving School, and Manawan Traffic Lines Driving School. Classes are conveniently scheduled from 8 am to 4 pm to accommodate the schedules of women learners.

To ensure a comfortable learning environment, the driving schools offer a women-to-women service, with female instructors guiding and assisting women learners throughout their training. This initiative underscores the commitment to empowering women by fostering their independence and mobility.

In addition to this remarkable initiative, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has also launched the Clinics on Wheels project. This initiative aims to deploy 200 mobile clinics across Punjab, serving approximately 4 million people. These mobile clinics will focus on reaching areas where accessing hospital care is challenging, particularly in densely populated urban areas.
