Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) has approved a collaboration agreement between the kingdom’s Presidency of State Security and Pakistan’s military intelligence agency to combat terrorism and its financing.
The decision was made during a cabinet meeting chaired by Crown Prince MBS, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). This approval follows a “highly productive” visit by Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir to Saudi Arabia in March.

Additionally, the cabinet approved a draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in the energy sector. Authorization was granted to the minister of energy, or an appointed deputy, to engage in discussions and sign the draft MoU with Pakistani counterparts.
Crown Prince MBS is expected to visit Pakistan in the coming weeks. Although there were earlier reports suggesting the visit had been canceled, Pakistani officials have confirmed ongoing communication with Saudi officials regarding the visit.
