In a surprising turn of events, authorities in Sargodha discovered a beggar carrying over Rs. 500,000 in cash and a passport with a Saudi Arabian visa.

A private news channel reported that a rescue team was called to assist an elderly man found unconscious on Khushab Road. The team promptly arrived and transported him to DHQ Hospital for urgent medical attention. While treating him, hospital staff found Rs. 534,000 and a passport in his possession. Further investigation revealed that he had traveled to Saudi Arabia multiple times on valid visas.

District Emergency Officer Mazhar Shah stated that locals had identified the man as a beggar in the area. After receiving medical care, he was released from the hospital, and the rescue team returned his cash and passport.

Last year, it was reported that 90% of professional beggars arrested in Middle Eastern countries were from Pakistan. Since then, the government has intensified its crackdown on such activities. Earlier this month, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) prevented eight women from boarding a Saudi Arabia-bound flight at Multan Airport. According to an FIA immigration spokesperson, the women were allegedly traveling to Saudi Arabia to beg.
