Pakistani music icon Haniya Aslam passed away on August 11 after suffering a heart attack, leaving the music industry in mourning. Her death was confirmed by her cousin and musical partner, Zeb Bangash, through an emotional post on Instagram. Tributes have been pouring in from the music community, with colleagues and fans expressing their sorrow and admiration for Aslam’s remarkable talent and warm personality.

Haniya Aslam first gained prominence with her hit song “Chup” in 2001. Together with Zeb Bangash, she gained acclaim for their distinctive blend of Eastern and Western musical styles, with memorable performances on Coke Studio.

After relocating to Canada in 2014, Haniya later returned to Pakistan to continue her music career, contributing to various projects and making a notable impact as one of the few female producers in the industry.
