Two innovative startups from Pakistan have been selected to participate in Google’s inaugural AI Academy in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This program aims to assist startups in refining their AI solutions and promoting business growth. Kicking off with an interactive three-day bootcamp in Singapore, the initiative brings together founders from Pakistan and six other countries: Korea, Japan, India, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Participating startups will benefit from over 170 hours of customized mentorship from AI and Cloud experts, along with access to up to $350,000 in Google Cloud credits. They will also have opportunities to network with fellow AI innovators throughout the APAC region. One of the Pakistani startups, AdalFi, is enhancing financial inclusivity through its AI-powered credit scoring system, aimed at providing greater access to financial services for millions of individuals and small businesses. Another startup, Adlytic AI, is revolutionizing retail analytics by transforming CCTV cameras into smart tools that help retailers effectively utilize visual and geospatial data to drive business growth. These startups are pushing the boundaries of AI innovation in Pakistan, contributing to the vibrant AI ecosystem in the region.

“We’re thrilled to launch Google’s first AI Academy in APAC,” stated Michael Kim, Head of Google for Startups, APAC. “AI has the potential to be a tremendous force multiplier. It’s inspiring to see these 23 startups leveraging AI to tackle significant challenges, such as improving access to financial services and healthcare, developing AI collaborators for legal professionals, and democratizing influencer marketing through AI-generated avatars. We aim to foster a wave of innovation that will resonate across the entire Asia-Pacific region through this program.”
The AI Academy will conclude in December with a Graduation Day, where startups will present their refined AI solutions to a diverse audience of investors, entrepreneurs, and leaders in the AI industry.
