Samsung is set to unveil a new addition to its Galaxy lineup next Monday, and speculation is mounting about what the tech giant has in store. While the company has yet to confirm the device’s name, insiders believe it could be the long-awaited Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition.

Slimmer Design and New Features

A teaser video has been released by Samsung to drum up excitement, but the official name remains a mystery. Some expect it to be called the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, while others suggest it could be named the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition for clarity.

Adding fuel to the fire, a recent leaked image hints at a sleeker design for this upcoming foldable. The new model is expected to be slimmer than the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6, a feature that aligns with earlier rumors that the device might be called the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim.

Leaked Specifications

According to recent leaks, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will feature a 200MP camera, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, and a 6.5-inch outer display. The device will unfold to reveal an 8-inch main screen, with a chassis offering IP48 protection. In terms of thickness, the device is expected to measure 4.9 mm when unfolded, closely trailing the thinnest foldable phone, the Honor Magic V3, which measures 4.4 mm. When folded, the device will likely be 10.6 mm thick.
