PSX Sees Bearish Trend with Loss of 809.63 Points on Tuesday

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) 100-Index witnessed a bearish trend on Tuesday, dropping 809.63 points, a decrease of 0.72%, and closing at 111,935.38 points, compared to the previous day’s closing of 112,745.01 points.

A total of 436,325,053 shares were traded during the session, an increase from the 401,456,556 shares traded on the previous day. The value of shares traded stood at Rs. 23.225 billion, up from Rs. 20.351 billion on the last trading day.

Out of 440 companies that transacted shares, 129 recorded gains, 225 reported losses, and 56 companies saw their share prices remain unchanged.

The top three most traded companies were WorldCall Telecom with 54,615,977 shares at Rs. 1.58 per share, Cnergyico PK with 21,090,416 shares at Rs. 7.49 per share, and K-Electric Limited with 20,621,518 shares at Rs. 4.43 per share.

Sazgar Engineering Works Limited saw the highest increase, rising Rs. 78.01 per share to close at Rs. 1,140.96, followed by Bata Pakistan Limited with a Rs. 28.54 increase in its share price, closing at Rs. 1,968.16.

Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited experienced the largest drop, losing Rs. 86.15 per share to close at Rs. 9,397.18. Sapphire Textile Mills Limited was the second-largest loser, with a Rs. 39.64 decline in its share price, closing at Rs. 1,165.68.
