Next-Generation Foldable Expected to Launch in July 2025

Samsung is set to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in the second half of 2025, and new leaks have provided insight into its camera specifications. The upcoming foldable smartphone is expected to introduce a 200-megapixel primary sensor, a significant improvement over the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Additionally, the under-display camera on the inner screen is also rumored to receive an upgrade, while other sensors may remain unchanged.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Camera Upgrades

According to a report by Galaxyclub.nl, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will feature a 200-megapixel main rear camera, the same sensor used in the flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra. This marks the first time a Z Fold model outside South Korea will include a high-resolution 200MP shooter.

For comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 was equipped with a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens. While other camera sensors on the Z Fold 7 may remain the same, the upgrade to a 200MP sensor is expected to enhance image quality and detail.

Expected Launch, Pricing, and Specifications

Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in July 2025, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and possibly its first tri-fold smartphone. The pricing for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is rumored to be similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 6, starting at Rs. 1,64,999 for the base 12GB + 256GB variant.

Under the hood, the device is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy SoC and will likely come in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage variants, all paired with 12GB of RAM.

With major camera enhancements and powerful hardware, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is shaping up to be one of Samsung’s most advanced foldable smartphones to date.
