Meizu is gearing up to launch its latest budget-friendly smartphone lineup—the Meizu Note 16 series—on May 13 at 2:30 PM (China time) via a live-streamed event. The event will also see the debut of the Flyme AIOS 2 system on non-flagship devices, aimed at enhancing the overall user experience on affordable smartphones.

The Note 16 series will include two models: the Meizu Note 16 and the Note 16 Pro, both featuring refreshed aesthetics. The standard Note 16 will come with an octagonal camera module inspired by traditional Chinese architecture, while the Note 16 Pro will sport a circular rear camera module. Both devices will include a ring LED flash.

In terms of design, Meizu emphasizes comfort and symmetry. The Note 16 Pro will feature ultra-thin 1.45mm bezels, while the base model will include a 2.5D curved display and 3D back panel for enhanced ergonomics.
