Telenor Pakistan recorded a 4.1% year-on-year (YoY) growth in total revenue during Q1 2025, reaching Rs. 30.03 billion (NOK 1,308 million), compared to Rs. 28.84 billion (NOK 1,142 million) in Q1 2024, based on a NOK/PKR exchange rate of 0.0396.

Service revenues rose sharply by 20.1% YoY, climbing from Rs. 22.58 billion (NOK 894 million) to Rs. 27.12 billion (NOK 1,074 million). This growth was supported by an improved macroeconomic environment and reduced energy costs, which also contributed to a 25% increase in average revenue per user (ARPU).

Gross profit surged by 15% YoY to Rs. 29.84 billion (NOK 1,182 million), while capital expenditure (CAPEX) more than doubled to Rs. 3.13 billion (NOK 124 million), reflecting a 117% increase from the previous year.

Adjusted EBITDA rose 24.9% YoY to Rs. 14.94 billion (NOK 592 million), up from Rs. 11.96 billion (NOK 474 million) in Q1 2024. For the full year 2024, Telenor Pakistan’s total revenue stood at Rs. 119.49 billion (NOK 4,750 million).

Telenor’s Asian operations also include stakes in Grameenphone (Bangladesh), CelcomDigi (Malaysia), True Corporation (Thailand), and Easypaisa (Pakistan), with regional hubs in Bangkok and Singapore.
