The Sindh Education Department has officially declared the summer vacation schedule for 2025, confirming that all public and private schools will remain closed from June 1 to July 31, with academic sessions resuming on August 1, 2025.

A department spokesperson clarified that the vacation period aligns with the existing academic calendar and dismissed rumors of early holidays this year.

Meanwhile, the Punjab government has also announced its summer break, spanning from June 1 to August 9, 2025, for both public and private schools and colleges. This was confirmed by Secretary of School Education, Khalid Nazir Wattoo.

Wattoo noted that if temperatures continue to rise, there’s a possibility that holidays could be moved a week earlier to protect students and staff from heat-related health risks. He reaffirmed the department’s commitment to prioritizing health and safety.

The School Education Department has finalized arrangements for the summer period. As part of the preparation, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has released a set of safety guidelines for schools, including ensuring proper ventilation, checking and maintaining cooling equipment, and establishing first-aid stations with trained staff to manage potential heatstroke cases before schools close for the break.
