Punjab Government Adjusts School Timings Due to Heatwave Ahead of Summer Break
In light of the ongoing heatwave, the Punjab government has announced revised school timings for all public educational institutions across the province. The changes will be effective from May 21 to May 27, 2025, just before the start of summer vacations.
According to a notification issued by the School Education Department, new schedules have been set for both students and teaching staff to minimize exposure to extreme temperatures.

Revised School Timings:

For Students: Monday to Friday – 7:30 am to 11:30 am

For Teachers:
-
Monday to Thursday – 7:15 am to 12:00 noon

Friday – 7:15 am to 11:30 am

Alternate Saturdays – 7:30 am to 10:30 am

These temporary adjustments aim to protect students and educators during peak heat hours while ensuring academic continuity in the final days of the school term.
