In a significant step toward promoting accessible education, government colleges across Punjab will begin offering free preparation classes for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) starting June 2. The initiative aims to support aspiring medical students by providing high-quality coaching at no cost, ensuring that financial limitations do not hinder academic ambition.

Students interested in participating must register in advance, as the preparatory sessions will commence in the first week of June. Each participating college will receive Rs. 500,000 in funding to facilitate the coaching program. These funds will be allocated for educational resources and the hiring of qualified instructors.

Last year, around 10,000 students benefited from this initiative, with 90 colleges participating. Building on that success, the government is expanding the program to nearly 150 colleges across Punjab this year. Each institution will employ five trained instructors who will guide students through the MDCAT syllabus and teach effective test strategies.
