WhatsApp is rolling out a new AI-driven feature to help businesses manage customer conversations more efficiently. Known as the AI-Handoff Chat Filter, this tool is being introduced in the latest Android update (version 2.25.18.25).
The feature is designed to automatically detect and separate chats that require human attention. While WhatsApp Business already uses AI to handle routine customer queries—such as questions about store hours or product details—the new filter will flag conversations where AI responses fall short or when a customer specifically asks to speak to a real person.
