UN Condemns US Airstrikes on Iran’s Nuclear Sites, World Leaders Urge Restraint

Iran’s Foreign Ministry has strongly denounced the U.S. military airstrikes that targeted its nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, calling the attacks a gross violation of international law and the UN Charter. Tehran labeled the assault “brutal military aggression” and “heinous,” warning that it violates Article 2(4) of the UN Charter and breaches Security Council Resolution 2231.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry urged the UN, including Secretary‑General António Guterres and the IAEA, to hold the U.S. accountable by convening an emergency Security Council session. “We are resolved to defend our sovereignty, territory, security, and people by all means,” the statement declared, stressing that silence would only embolden further violations.
