Pakistan’s 2025 Upload Speed Report: Which Mobile Network Performs Best?

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has released its Quality of Service (QoS) survey for Q1 2025, revealing the best-performing mobile networks in terms of upload speeds across 15 major cities. Jazz and Zong emerged as the leading operators, significantly outperforming Ufone and Telenor in both automated and real-world testing.

Jazz Leads in Automated Upload Speed Testing
In PTA’s automated mode testing, which simulates typical data usage scenarios, Jazz secured first place in 10 out of 15 cities. Top performances included:

  • Chamkani: 24.08 Mbps

  • Hala: 24.04 Mbps

  • Dinga Town: 24.67 Mbps

  • Hub: 24.55 Mbps

Zong followed with the highest upload speeds in 5 cities, excelling in:

  • Dina Town: 20.59 Mbps

  • Rahim Yar Khan: 22.41 Mbps

Ufone consistently ranked third, while Telenor recorded the lowest upload speeds in every city, ranging between 2.35 and 7.70 Mbps.

Zong Takes the Lead in Real-World App Testing
Using third-party apps for more accurate user experience simulation, Zong took the lead in 8 cities, narrowly surpassing Jazz’s 7 top finishes. Zong’s top upload speeds were:

  • Dina Town: 30.71 Mbps

  • Kasur: 24.80 Mbps

  • Rahim Yar Khan: 30.78 Mbps

  • Kandiaro: 31.33 Mbps

Jazz remained highly competitive with standout results such as:

  • Kuchlak: 17 Mbps

  • Chamkani: 27.25 Mbps

  • Dinga Town: 29.54 Mbps
