Islamabad International Airport has revised its parking fee structure, leading to increased charges for passengers and visitors. The new rates raise the fee for the first three hours from Rs 90 to Rs 120, while the per-hour charge beyond that has increased from Rs 50 to Rs 70.

The price hike has caused frustration among travelers and their families, who argue that the higher parking costs are an added inconvenience, especially for those arriving to drop off or receive loved ones.

The increase has also led to frequent disputes between passengers and parking contractors at the airport. Many visitors are questioning the rationale behind the abrupt rise in fees.

Efforts are currently underway to get an official statement from Pakistan Airports Authority spokesperson Saifullah Khan regarding the decision and its justification.
