Vivo is preparing to unveil the Vivo S50 Pro Mini next month in China, a device that is expected to debut globally as the Vivo X300 FE. The company has already confirmed several key details, offering a clear preview of what the international version will offer.

Design and Camera Setup

The Vivo S50 Pro Mini features a sleek horizontal camera bar on the back, housing three cameras along with an LED flash. Vivo revealed that the setup includes a large primary sensor, an ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens, delivering improved zoom capabilities.

Display and Front Camera

Images of the device show a flat display with rounded corners. Being a compact model, it incorporates a 6.31-inch OLED panel with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. For selfies, the phone offers a 50MP front camera, while security is enhanced through an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.

Performance and Battery

Powering the S50 Pro Mini is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The phone packs a 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W wired and 40W wireless fast charging, positioning it as a strong performer in the compact flagship category.

Software and Build

The device will run Android 16 topped with OriginOS 6. Vivo has also confirmed additional features such as dual speakers, an x-axis linear motor, an aerospace-grade metal frame, and an IP68/69-certified water- and dust-resistant body.

Standard Vivo S50 Also Coming

Vivo will also introduce the standard Vivo S50 next month in China. This variant will feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, up to 16GB RAM, and a 6.59-inch 1.5K 120Hz OLED display. A teaser has revealed that its rear design will differ completely from the S50 Pro Mini.
