Pakistan star batter Babar Azam has matched a significant Twenty20 milestone previously held by India’s Virat Kohli, equalling the record for the most 50-plus scores in T20 matches when batting first.

The achievement came during a Big Bash League (BBL) match for the Sydney Sixers against the Sydney Thunder at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Babar scored 58 runs off 42 balls, bringing his total of 50-plus first-innings scores in T20 cricket to 63, the same number Virat Kohli recorded in his career.
