High-Level Meeting to Boost Safety

Officials in Islamabad convened a high-level joint meeting to review and strengthen security across the federal capital. The session was led by the Federal Interior Minister along with senior representatives from the Islamabad district administration and Islamabad Police.

Reinforcing Surveillance and Monitoring

Authorities agreed to reinforce surveillance at city entry and exit points and expand monitoring systems to track traffic flow and public movement more effectively throughout Islamabad.

Focus on Sensitive Areas

Security enhancements will be prioritized in key areas such as the Diplomatic Enclave and Red Zone. The city’s Safe City system has been upgraded with modern technology to monitor major roads, commercial hubs, and residential sectors.

Zero Tolerance Against Crime

Police officials emphasized that protecting citizens’ lives, property, and dignity is the top priority. A zero-tolerance approach will be enforced against criminal elements with no compromises in implementation.

Expanded Patrolling and Data Collection

Door-to-door surveys in urban neighborhoods have been completed, and similar efforts are underway in rural sectors. Patrols will be increased across all areas, especially at entry/exit points, and data collection efforts will support more proactive enforcement.

Strengthened Coordination and Technology Use

Authorities pledged enhanced inter-agency coordination and full use of available technology to ensure public safety. Officials reaffirmed commitment to making Islamabad one of the safest cities in the country.
