What the feature basically does is that it ends up allocating some of the phone’s storage as virtual RAM. This is in fact much similar to Windows allocating a portion of disk storage so as to use virtual RAM if a scenario persists where physical RAM happens to be insufficient.

Of course then, the feature isn’t exactly all that new. However, before this, Galaxy phones were only allowed to use four gigs of RAM, however, with the aid of One UI 4.1, the brand is now allowing the users to choose up to eight gigs of RAM in the case where memory is much required. At this point then, it’s important to note the fact that four gigs of RAM is selected as the default when it comes to virtual RAM, however, users can indeed change this.
