As a result of the scratch test, the phone was able to withstand scratches up until the level 6 of the Mohs hardness scale, the deeper grooves appearing at the level 7 mark. Due to the fact that the phone was made out of aluminum and there were a lot of buttons on the phone, major scratches were seen on the edges of the phone when they were exposed to the sharp edges of a knife. As a matter of fact, the metal volume rocker was also removable for some reason. Furthermore, the capacitative shoulder triggers were not affected by the scratch test, which was an impressive result, as well. Despite being bent quite a bit, the Red Magic 8 Pro outlasted the bend test quite well. Despite the fact that the back glass had separated from the frame, the phone was able to stay intact after all.
