Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 set for potential July debut in Paris.

Recent reports from insiders associated with SamMobile indicate that Samsung is contemplating hosting its traditional Unpacked event to unveil its upcoming foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6, potentially set for early July. Supporting this speculation, an independent source from South Korea also anticipates the event to occur sometime between early to mid-July.

Last year, the Galaxy Unpacked event for foldables took place on July 26. However, the new report suggests Samsung is planning to advance this year’s event by two weeks, aiming for around July 12. Moreover, the report suggests Paris as the venue for the event this time. With the Paris Olympics scheduled to start on July 26, Samsung intends to strategically time its product launch before the event, with a focus on capturing the European market this year. This move aligns with Samsung’s strategy to leverage the departure of Chinese smartphone manufacturers from the market.

Traditionally, Samsung’s foldable phones, like the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5, reached the USA approximately two weeks after their domestic launch in South Korea. Considering this timeline, speculation arises regarding the possibility of an earlier unveiling event this year.

However, insights from supply chain sources indicate that the final testing phase for the products is expected to conclude by April, well ahead of the projected July launch date. Consequently, the likelihood of a domestic launch similar to last year’s event in South Korea seems low. Additionally, the report mentions that there won’t be any new types of foldable or rollable phones from Samsung, though it doesn’t mention the recently announced Galaxy Ring.
