In August of last year, Xiaomi introduced the Mix Fold 3, and presently, it’s in the process of developing the Mix Fold 4, aiming for a potential summer release.
Today, a well-known Weibo leaker, Digital Chat Station, has revealed a set of specifications for the Mix Fold 4. Although not exhaustive, these details offer significant insights into the upcoming foldable smartphone, heightening anticipation.
Xiaomi is actively working to minimize the display crease on its foldables, and this effort is evident in the upcoming Mix Fold 4, which is expected to feature a less prominent crease than its predecessors. Additionally, the foldable will boast a modernized two-way satellite communication function for emergencies and an IP rating for water resistance. Further improvements may include a custom x-axis linear vibration motor and a weight ranging between 220g and 240g. Importantly, the hinge has been reinforced, promising increased durability compared to earlier models.

In terms of memory configurations, the Mix Fold 4 will offer flagship-grade options, including up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. Similarly, the battery specifications will impress with a large 5,000 mAh cell, despite the phone’s slim form factor, and will support 100W of rapid wired charging.
The main camera on the back, boasting 50MP and a large aperture, is expected to deliver impressive performance, complemented by a periscope zoom camera. The device will also include the essential ultrawide and a telephoto camera similar to its predecessor, the Mix Fold 3.
Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, these specifications portray the Mix Fold 4 as a compelling successor to the Mix Fold 3. However, it’s worth noting that the Vivo X Fold 3 is anticipated to be the first foldable to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, with a launch expected sooner.
