Samsung has traditionally reserved its fastest charging technology for its flagship models like the Galaxy S24+ and S24 Ultra. However, the new Galaxy M55 breaks this pattern by offering not only a substantial battery but also 45W wired charging. Here’s a breakdown of its features:

Design and Display: The Galaxy M55 sports a 6.7-inch flat AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1080p and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It incorporates an under-display fingerprint sensor and boasts a peak brightness of 1000 nits. A small punch-hole cutout at the center houses the selfie camera.

Internals and Software: Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, the M55 is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, expandable via microSD card. It runs on Android 14 with Samsung’s One UI 6.1 on top. Samsung pledges to provide 4 OS updates and 5 years of security patches, surpassing many rival mid-range smartphones.

Cameras: On the rear, the M55 features a 50MP main camera with OIS for stable videos and photos. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide shooter and a 2MP macro camera. Video recording capabilities extend to 4K at 30 FPS and 1080p at 60 FPS. The front-facing 50MP selfie camera offers detailed selfies and matches the main camera’s video recording capabilities.

Battery and Pricing: Equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, the M55 supports Samsung’s rapid 45W wired charging. According to Samsung, it can reach a 70% charge in just 30 minutes. The Galaxy M55 is priced at $600 in Brazil and is available in Dark Blue and Light Green color options.
