Realme is gearing up to unveil a new smartphone series, following in the footsteps of its Chinese competitor, Redmi. While Redmi’s upcoming Turbo series is likely to debut in India, Realme’s new lineup is also set to target the Indian market initially.
This announcement comes shortly after Realme launched the 12x in India. The official X account of Realme India, formerly known as Twitter, has teased the introduction of this new smartphone series in the country.
Accompanied by a teaser video captioned “Power Up,” the announcement doesn’t disclose specific details about the upcoming smartphone but confirms the imminent arrival of a new series. The video, mostly generated by AI, suggests the arrival of “A New Power,” hinting at enhanced hardware performance, though the exact implications remain ambiguous within the realm of marketing campaigns.

Realme’s official website in India prominently showcases its existing C-series and numbered smartphones, noticeably omitting the GT series. The naming convention and strategic positioning within Realme’s extensive range of smartphones for this new series are yet to be revealed, awaiting official confirmation.
If this new series indeed focuses on performance, it mirrors Redmi’s approach with its upcoming Turbo series, positioned between the Redmi Note and K series. The first device in Redmi’s Turbo series, the Redmi Turbo 3, is anticipated to feature the recently unveiled Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, promising flagship-grade performance at an affordable price. While speculation suggests Realme might follow suit by equipping its mysterious phone with the same chipset, it’s advisable to approach such information with caution.
