Red Magic has officially launched its flagship gaming smartphone, the Red Magic 9 Pro, in India. Although initially introduced to the global market in December 2023, Indian consumers can now purchase these devices directly from the brand’s global website, as they are not available in local markets.
The Red Magic 9 Pro comes in two configurations: the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant priced at $649 (₹54,038), and the top-tier 16GB RAM + 512GB storage model priced at $799 (₹66,528). Customers in India should consider additional taxes when calculating the total cost. For example, shipping the device to New Delhi results in a total cost of $895.62 (₹74,573) for the 12GB + 256GB configuration and $1,102 (₹91,757) for the 16GB + 512GB configuration.

Despite the seemingly high prices, the Red Magic 9 Pro remains a more affordable option compared to the ROG Phone 8 Pro, the only other current-gen gaming smartphone available in India. The ROG Phone 8 Pro starts at ₹94,999 for the 16GB + 512GB model and goes up to ₹1,19,999 for the 24GB + 1TB variant.

Moving on to specifications, the Red Magic 9 Pro boasts a 6.8-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 960Hz touch response rate. The display supports 10-bit color depth, covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and achieves a brightness of 1600 nits. Security features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, while gaming enthusiasts will appreciate the inclusion of shoulder triggers.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the Octa-Core Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and Adreno 750 GPU, offering various RAM and storage options with UFS 4.0 technology. It runs on Android 14 with Redmagic OS 9.0 and supports dual SIM cards. Camera capabilities include a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 16MP under-display front camera.
In terms of audio, the Red Magic 9 Pro features a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual speakers, DTS:X Ultra support, and three microphones. The phone measures 163.98×76.35×8.9mm and weighs 229g. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C, and NFC. With a 6500mAh battery, the device supports 80W fast charging.
