A disturbing incident at a government school in Wazirabad has sparked widespread condemnation after reports and videos revealed young students being forced to perform manual labor during school hours.
Children from second and third grades at Government Girls High School Moti Bazar were allegedly made to unload a trolley full of mud in extreme heat — a task entirely unrelated to their education. Video clips circulating online show the uniformed students visibly struggling with the physically demanding work under the scorching sun, igniting public outrage.
Child protection activists and concerned citizens have condemned the act as a blatant violation of child rights and described it as child exploitation.

According to school sources, the children were asked to help because regular laborers were absent that day. “Only a small amount of mud was handled by students due to the workers being on leave,” claimed one school official, attempting to minimize the issue. However, residents and eyewitnesses expressed strong disapproval. “Schools are for education, not physical labor. These children should be in classrooms, not unloading trolleys,” said a local who recorded the video.
The incident has intensified demands for stricter monitoring of school environments and stronger enforcement of child protection laws, particularly in institutions where such misconduct often goes unchecked.
