Pakistan has officially imposed a ban on all forms of transit trade involving India. The Ministry of Commerce issued a Statutory Regulatory Order (SRO) prohibiting the import, export, and transit of Indian goods through Pakistan by land, sea, or air routes.
According to the SRO, the prohibition applies to the movement of Indian-origin goods directly as well as those routed through third countries. This means that Indian shipments, even if passed through intermediary nations, will not be allowed to transit via Pakistani territory.

Additionally, the export of Pakistani goods to India through transit trade is also now forbidden, including transportation by road, rail, sea, or air.
However, the Ministry of Commerce has clarified that the ban will not affect imports or exports for which Letters of Credit (LCs) have already been established. These transactions will be allowed to proceed under the prior arrangements.
The decision reflects rising tensions in trade and diplomatic relations between the two neighboring countries.
