The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather alert forecasting widespread rain, thunderstorms, and possible hailstorms across much of the country beginning the night of May 7. This weather activity is driven by a westerly wave and moist air currents entering from the south.

The system is expected to affect upper and central regions first, gradually extending to the south, with conditions likely to persist intermittently until May 12.
