Jazz has appointed Zaheer Mehdi as Group Head of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs, effective June 16, 2025. He will also oversee governance for Jazz’s financial arms—Mobilink Bank and JazzCash—as the company strengthens its institutional oversight.

Zaheer brings over 30 years of experience in corporate banking and regulatory affairs, previously holding key roles at Engro Corporation and Standard Chartered. He replaces Syed Fakhar Ahmed, who will now serve as Advisor, Special Initiatives after playing a vital role in Jazz’s public policy and crisis response initiatives.

CEO Aamir Ibrahim welcomed Zaheer, citing his policy expertise and leadership experience as key to Jazz’s growth into a multi-vertical digital services company. These leadership changes align with Jazz’s broader transformation into a tech-driven ServiceCo serving over 100 million users across fintech, entertainment, digital care, insurtech, cloud, and gaming.
